
Director of Community Resources
SUMMARY OF POSITION
Reporting to the Executive Director, the Director of Community Resources works within a team dynamic to provide direct care for survivors of prostitution and commercial sexual exploitation in Amirah’s Community Resource Center (CRC) in Lynn, MA. They direct and oversee all services in the CRC, working to provide care addressing the whole-person, having responsibility for clinical assessment, case management, and resource management. The Director of Community Resources is a member of Amirah’s Leadership Team, consisting of the Executive Director, Director of Development, Director of Programs, and Director of Outreach. The Community Resource Center is in residence at The Mansion in Lynn, operated by ECIC. This position is a collaborative position, maintaining Amirah's partnership with ECIC in a mutually shared space working with the same women.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Community Resource Center
-
Execution of services within the Community Resource Center that focuses trauma-informed care for a highly transient population.

Strong communication with referral agencies, potential resources, and partnerships for clients.

Meet with clients for clinical care and provision of basic needs: health insurance, access to services, clothing, food, etc.

Manage the development of services within the CRC outside of clinical support (i.e. groups, mentor services) ensuring that maximum capacity is reached in an effective manner while working in collaboration with the Outreach Team.

Ensure that all case records are maintained in compliance with Federal, State and Organizational standards for each program participant.

Oversee Amirah’s Rapid Rehousing Program as a resource offered through the CRC and the Rapid Rehousing Coordinator.

Maintain the CRC budget and report all spending to the Executive Director of Amirah in conjunction with the allotted program budget.
Outreach Program

As a vital part of the Outreach Program team, work in collaboration with other avenues of Amirah’s Outreach Program to ensure a continuation of care for clients.

Work collaboratively with Outreach Program staff making sure that efforts within the CRC match and align with values of Outreach Program and goals of overall program.
Communication
-
Meet bi-weekly with Amirah’s Director of Programs and clinical team for group supervision.

Effective communication with Outreach Team on schedule, events, groups, and all CRC programming efforts.

Attend weekly Outreach Staff meetings.

Keep up-to-date records and communicate with Outreach Staff on progress of clients.

Participate in Amirah’s Leadership Team meetings

Quarterly meeting with Executive Director to assess personal progress and growth.
Organizational Advocacy
-
Contribute to Amirah’s educational and advocacy efforts as needed in your area of expertise (this could include blog writing, public speaking events, social media videos, etc.).

Contribute program data and materials as needed to development efforts to fund Amirah’s program.
QUALIFICATIONS
-
Follower of Christ, committed to His church and message of the transformative love of Jesus that was displayed on the cross.

All candidates should have Case Management experience.

Master’s degree in counseling or Social Work.

Nonprofit experience preferred.
-
Lived experience welcomed.

Knowledge of commercial sexual exploitation/sex trafficking and experience working in this field preferred.

Unwavering commitment to quality programs and high level of service.

Passionate about Amirah’s work; able to communicate and promote the philosophy, mission and value of the organization both internally and externally.

Ability to work in an independent environment as well as working with a strong collaborative team-based program.

BENEFITS
Amirah provides the following benefits for this position:

One full week of vacation per quarter taken within that three-month period (four weeks total given each year). Amirah operates on a work-rest rhythm for all staff members.

One personal spiritual retreat day per quarter. This is one day given to take as seen fit to connect with God, to rest, and to restore for this work.

Accumulated sick time, up to forty (40) hours a year.
