Outreach Coordinator

SUMMARY OF POSITION

Amirah is a faith-driven nonprofit that exists to provide exit and aftercare services to women who have experienced sex trafficking, commercial sexual exploitation, and prostitution. Reporting to the Director of Community Resources, the Outreach Coordinator will provide administrative support to the Director of Community Resources and the Outreach Team. Amirah's Outreach Program operates a Community Resource Center in Lynn and runs a rapid rehousing program for women actively leaving exploitation.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide administrative support to Amirah's Outreach team through systems management, schedule coordination, and project management

  • Assist the Director of Community Resources and Outreach team members in ensuring proper documentation of all services and track all data according to appropriate data tracking requirements, including case notes, client enrollment and exit information with minimal missing data

  • Collaborate with the Outreach Team on helping clients develop particular life skills as assigned and effectively communicate the goals and efforts met by each client in these areas to the team

  • Track Rapid Rehousing participant furnishing needs and work with volunteers, the Amirah team, and external partners to furnish apartments as needed

  • Work with the Rapid Rehousing Manager to coordinate move-in and move-out process for Rapid Rehousing participants

  • Assist the Rapid Rehousing Manager and/or Director of Community Resources on home visits

  • Work in conjunction with the Outreach team to intake new participants into the Rapid Rehousing program, providing administrative support

  • Participate in community and street outreach efforts in Lynn, MA with the Outreach Team

  • Maintain records of transactions and work with Amirah’s Office Manager to provide documentation of expenses for grant reporting purposes

  • Participate in the on-call rotation for Rapid Rehousing (bi-weekly)

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Follower of Christ, committed to His church and message of the transformative love of Jesus that was displayed on the cross

  • Lived-experience welcome

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

  • Strong track record of data management, ability to work with several different software systems, and be able to grow and adapt to technological changes

  • Nonprofit experience preferred

  • Experience working with those who have experienced housing insecurity preferred

  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects with multiple moving parts

  • Knowledge of human trafficking, sexual exploitation, and experience working in this field preferred

  • Unwavering commitment to quality programs and high level of service

  • Passionate about Amirah’s work; able to communicate and promote the philosophy, mission, and values of the organization both internally and externally

  • Creative problem solver who is able to handle conflict in a mature, intentional, thoughtful way while actively pursuing reconciliation

  • Works well in a multi-faceted, creatively chaotic environment, helping to bring order and structure in positive uplifting way

 

BENEFITS

  • Five days per quarter to be taken within that quarter (four weeks total given each year). Amirah operates on a work-rest rhythm for all staff members.

  • Every quarter, one personal spiritual retreat day is given. This is one day given to take as seen fit to connect with God, to rest, and to restore for this work.

  • Eligible for health insurance package.

  • Accumulated sick-time is given up to forty (40) hours a year.

  • Paid holidays on New Year’s Day, MLK, Jr. Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day

 

COVID POLICIES

At this time, we are asking that all staff are vaccinated, unless there is a proven medical reason. We are also following masking guidelines for each county and city that we operate in. These two things are non-negotiable.
