What I Want People to Know About Sex Trafficking

All of us girls are human beings who lost their way at one point. We still deserve respect, and love. We aren't bad people, we just made bad choices, and a lot of those choices were forced by someone else. We suffer from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. I still have nightmares about the life I once lived.

What you need to know is that we are women of grace and dignity.

We are in recovery doing everything we can to turn our lives around. We go to counseling, school, work, meetings, whatever we need to do to better ourselves. We need encouragement in this life we are living so we can succeed in all we do.

I know its not an easy concept to understand, but this is coming from a survivor. We still deserve to be treated with respect, because we are, as I previously stated, HUMAN BEINGS. We have souls. We want to succeed in life and become normal members of society. We don't need to be labeled or judged, we just need to be understood and heard - because we have a lot to say, and a lot to contribute.

I hope you read this with an open mind and an open heart.  And I hope you understand it.
